Limitless Security has expanded its solution portfolio to include void properties as well as building sites. Our managed security solution has been deployed at a former British Home Stores property in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. The empty property is being protected for insurers by a network of VIDAR detectors whilst the site is redeveloped. The system quickly proved its worth by capturing images of intruders that had entered the site without permission within the first two weeks.

According to the finance company which now owns the building, the site is to be divided into three units. The two which face Bridge Street are likely to become restaurants; and there are plans to incorporate a hotel to the rear of the building. The flexibility and adaptability of the VIDAR solution is ideally suited to this evolving development.

VIDAR is fully compliant with Issue 6 of the SSAIB Code of Practice for Temporary Alarm Systems (Enhanced Version). This makes VIDAR the perfect system for protecting void properties as well as building sites.

The fully managed security solution provided by Limitless Security was chosen as a cost effective fixed price application – having been compared with manned guarding contracts for void properties. The contract includes the supply and installation of the battery operated VIDAR motion detectors which have integrated image verification.

Limitless Security monitors installations around the clock from its monitoring centre – which reacts and responds to any security events that may occur. Should the need arise, SIA-licensed security guards are directed to the precise location of an event using the VIDAR captured images that are provided direct to smartphones and tablets.

The fully managed service includes all site security signage, documentation of events for evidential purposes, and the provision of information that is required by the responding agencies.
