Bovis Homes, one of the UK’s leading housebuilding companies, has asked Limitless Security to deploy its fully managed security solution at East Gate, a new development comprising one-bedroom apartments through to five-bedroom family homes. This will enable Bovis Homes to protect against break-ins, vandalism and theft at the site.
Limitless Security has installed 10 VIDAR detectors at key locations across the site including access points. This standalone wire-free detector detects intruders and captures images for visual verification around the clock. Being battery operated, it provides building sites with unparalleled flexibility in terms of deployment as it does not need to be connected to an external power supply, control panel, telephone line or internet service.
VIDAR is a core component of Limitless Security’s fully managed security solution which includes detection, monitoring and response using a SIA-licensed security guarding service. It covers everything from risk assessment, the supply, installation and management of all equipment. Also provided are site security signage, documentation of any events for evidential purposes and the provision of information to responding agencies.
The East Gate development is on the former site of King Alfred School, Wantage. As well as delivering the new homes, Bovis Homes will contribute more than £1.6million to support the local community, with the funding going towards local infrastructure such as the Wantage Eastern Link Road, improvements to local bus services, investment in local health facilities and local sports facilities. More than £800,000 has been ring-fenced for local education needs.
